Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 01 SEP 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Saeve digital restaurant QR menu platform, including saeve.app, saeve.in and menu.saeve.in (the "Service"), operated by SAEVE.APP ("Saeve", "we", "us", "our"). The Service is offered to users internationally.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and "you" refers to that business.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You may sign in using email and password or Google sign-in. You must not share your account or let others use it without authorisation.
2. The Service
Saeve lets Restaurant Owners create and manage digital menus, generate QR codes, and publish public menu pages that diners can view. Features may include an automated menu-import tool that uses artificial intelligence to draft menus from uploaded photos or PDFs for your review.
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may set reasonable usage limits. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
3. Your content and the licence you grant us
You own your content. Menu items, descriptions, prices, images, logos, and branding you upload or enter ("Your Content") remain yours.
Licence to us. You grant Saeve a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting and display), and distribute Your Content as needed to operate, provide, secure, and promote the Service — including displaying your menus to diners and using representative examples of published menus in our own marketing and demonstrations. This licence lasts while Your Content is on the Service and for a reasonable period afterward for backups and legal purposes.
Your warranties. You confirm that you own or have the rights to Your Content, that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law, and that you have any consents needed for personal data it may contain.
Removal. We may remove or disable content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law, or in response to a valid complaint.
4. Accuracy of menu information
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of Your Content, including item descriptions, prices, ingredients, allergen and dietary information, and availability. Saeve is a tool for displaying menus; we do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for menu content, and we are not responsible for any loss, illness, allergic reaction, or dispute arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated menu information. Diners should confirm any allergen, dietary, pricing, or availability information directly with the restaurant before relying on it.
Where our automated menu-import feature drafts menu content, that draft is provided for your review — you are responsible for checking and correcting it before publishing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content;
- use the Service to send spam or violate others' privacy or rights;
- attempt to breach, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
- access the Service through automated means except as we expressly permit; or
- misuse the AI menu-import feature by uploading content you have no right to use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
6. Reviews, ratings, and third-party content
Any reviews, ratings, feedback, or other user-generated content displayed through the Service reflect the views of the people who posted them, not Saeve. We do not endorse and are not responsible for such content, and we are not liable for any effect it may have on any restaurant's reputation, ratings, or business.
7. AI menu-import feature and third-party providers
The menu-import feature relies on third-party AI providers (for example, OpenAI, Google and Anthropic) to process the photos or PDFs you upload. By using the feature:
- you consent to your uploaded content being transmitted to and processed by these providers, which may process it outside your country;
- you confirm you have the right to upload that content; and
- you acknowledge that the extracted output is an AI-generated draft that you must review and correct before publishing.
We use these providers under terms that, by default, do not permit your content to be used to train their AI models, and we use retention-minimising controls where available. However, these are independent third parties, and we are not liable for their acts, omissions, availability, or any inaccuracy in AI-generated output. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Pricing, payments, taxes, and refunds
- Plans and charges. The Service is offered on a software-as-a-service basis. Some features require a subscription; we may also offer one-time purchases (such as templates or add-ons). Prices, features, and billing cycles are shown at the point of purchase.
- Currencies. Prices may be charged in USD, INR, or other supported currencies as shown at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply conversion or foreign-transaction fees, which are your responsibility.
- Taxes. Prices are exclusive or inclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout. You are responsible for any applicable taxes (including GST, VAT, or sales tax) that apply to your purchase in your jurisdiction, unless we are required to collect them.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by third-party processors ([e.g. Stripe, Razorpay]); by paying, you also agree to their terms. We do not store your full payment-card details.
- Subscriptions and renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds.
- Subscriptions: No refunds for partial periods.
- One-time / digital purchases (e.g. templates): because these are digital items delivered immediately, they are non-refundable once accessed.
- Price changes. We may change prices with prior notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle or next purchase.
9. Intellectual property
The Service itself — including the Saeve name, logo, software, design, and content we create — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted. Templates and other assets we license to you are provided for use within the Service and subject to any specific licence terms shown at purchase.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any result (such as customer traffic, sales, ratings, or reputation) will be achieved.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from your use of the Service.
- We are not liable for any change to your reputation, reviews, ratings, or business outcomes, for menu content or its accuracy (see Section 4), or for third-party AI providers (see Section 7).
- Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period (or USD 100 / equivalent if you paid nothing).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, and (in jurisdictions that do not allow their exclusion) certain statutory consumer rights. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer in your country are not affected.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Saeve harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence for backups, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) continue to apply. We may delete your data after termination in line with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice to Restaurant Owners. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence, the courts at India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
